WORKOUT: Aerobic 45; 3×10 Hot Salsas, Flutter Kick, Hip Bridge
The benefit of workin’ out just “me, myself, and I”?
-Remember the reference to “clock whore” from ’08?
-So, as the past is prologue, it now includes “rep shavers” ala 2015.
-Which has turned into actual discussions about how to deal with “cheaters”!
There’s no Soul, that’s Soul-less! Imagine the lack of personal control and responsibility and accountability a person must feel to do that…dadgum.
Healthy motivation comes from “controlling the controllables.”
Control the motivation to workout.
Control the understanding of programming and design.
Control decisions about load-pace-reps.
Control the drive and desire to eat pain when lungs burn.
We start relying on other people for that stuff, outsourcing our souls…that’s when the whoring and shaving starts. Minimizing uncontrollables and focusing on what we can control eliminates the whoring and shaving.
That begs the question…if we can do all of that solo, then why introduce the uncontrollables of a social context? Take the Me, Myself, and I Approach: Competing against me, focusing on myself, concerned with what/how I did. (who could whore and shave then?)
Pretty sure that Soul was the original intent, “Not the false disguise of showbiz”…but anyway…
You do you.
